Performance is the foundation of my artistic work. It is important to me to always renew my ideas and ways of working and I see it as an enrichment to work with new materials and subject areas. I also dig deep in to the subjectmatter at hand and try to catch the energy and focus reflected in our society.

I was born in 1972 in Malmö, Sweden but have both lived, worked and studied in England, Germany and Ireland. With a background in both Fine Art Performance and Theatre and Dance Performance, my body and my perception is placed in the centre of my work. The reduction of the visual image as well as the formal and the precision of movement require the viewer to respond and contemplate. The public is an essential part of my work, particularly when working on long duration performance, as their presence becomes part of the live experience.

I also work in cooperation with other artists and my work in the performance duo TBL (TallBlondLadies), together with Irina Runge, is also a significant part of my artistic work. TBL works with the image of woman and create collages of female metaphors. Both sound and form are used by TBL to discover rhythm and timelessness. During the last years I have expanded my expressionary means beyond performance. Still, even this artwork, be it video, photo or installation caries performance as its main characteristics and my body as its core.
