Skills
The Fire Station training programme for professional visual artists takes place annually. The main aims of the programme are to support artists to diversify, upskill and engage in critical thinking within their practice in a unique and intimate environment outside of the formal education system.
Master classes
The Fire Station brings to Dublin highly regarded artists to host master classes giving participating artists an opportunity to develop their practice outside of mainstream education and to engage intellectually with their peers.
Training
The intention with training is to simply provide opportunities for ‘making’ techniques across different art forms e.g. metalwork and fibre glass
Digital media
We provide digital media workshops for artists to support their research, documentation and the making of their art work.
Discourse
Fire Station recognises the importance of debate and critical thinking in contemporary visual art. This is incorporated into all our programming.
