Contract Opportunity: Project Administrator/ Manager (PM/A)

Contract Opportunity: Project Administrator/ Manager (PM/A)

FSAS in association with Strategically Funded Visual Arts Organisations, are hiring a Project Administrator/ Manager (PM/A) to work with Facilitator / Service Designer Maureen Gilbert to deliver Equality, Human Rights and Diversity Training.

With the increasing emphasis on Arts Oganisations becoming equipped and trained to introduce best practice in matters of Equality, Human Rights and Diversity training in line with the Arts Council’s Strategy, FSAS, on behalf of Strategically funded Visual Arts Organisations, has successfully attracted funding from the Arts Council of Ireland to deliver training that is both sectoral and bespoke.

What will take place first is a survey of organisations to make an audit of needs and approaches to date. Following this, it is planned that training will be delivered to organisations in sessions covering general themes to senior executives clustered by type of organization (for example, galleries, studios, resource organisations) and followed by 2 sessions to each organisation.

What the PM/A will work on is the design (with FSAS and Facilitator), management and presentation of the audit to the Facilitator, assisting in the delivery of training, establishing the schedule and timetable, and agreeing the participants with each organization.  The PM/A will trouble shoot issues as they arise.

This project will begin in May 2021 and the Project Administrator / Manager will:

  • Design and implement the audit, followed by preliminary analysis
  • Liaise with participant organisations to arrange timetable and schedule for all sessions
  • Liaise with the Facilitator / Service Designer as needed
  • Be responsible for all correspondence
  • Be responsible for processing any invoices and other administration elements yet to be identified.

The successful candidate will work from home and be confident in using zoom, have a solid track-record in managing projects and will be comfortable in supporting the Facilitator / Service Designer in delivering the training. Confidence in managing information and databases will be important. Attendance at the organized sessions will be mandatory and the PM/A will manage the technical element, such as Zoom.  If complex technical requirements are necessary, these will be agreed in advance with FSAS and the Facilitator / Service Designer.

The number of hours will be agreed in advance with FSAS, estimated to be in the region of 12 hours /week for 8 weeks, plus evaluation and reporting at the end of the project on a timetable to be agreed. This estimate will be agreed between the parties and this is an indication of quantities.  Remuneration will be competitive with the successful candidate responsible for all taxes and charges, payable by invoice to FSAS.
