Behzad Nejadghanbar

Behzad Nejadghanbar, born 1976 in Tehran, lives and works in Tehran. Behzad Nejadghanbar studied dramatic literature in Tehran and used to work as a cultural officer in international companies and as a teacher and translator, before turning his passion for contemporary art into a profession. He writes for several Iranian and English art magazines – among them Underline Magazine – and has been an editor at the renowned magazine Herfeh Honarmand. In 2015, he founded his own space called Emkan, which quickly became one of the most interesting places for contemporary art in Tehran. He is curating exhibitions in Emkan and elsewhere and has brought international collaborations to Tehran. Recently he added a new space called SEDA to the exhibition space which is a sound project pursuing activities such as experimental performances, sound installations and workshops in collaboration with international artists.
