Georgia Muenster
Georgia Muenster is a New York-born and London-based independent contemporary art curator with a focus on urbanism, the future, archives, and collectivity. She completed an MA in Curating Contemporary Art at the Royal College of Art in 2015, studying 'psychogeographic' practice and contemporary art in public space. She also holds a BA in Art History from Bard College from 2008. As an independent curator she has produced projects at venues including the Palais de Tokyo, Copenhagen’s Dome of Visions, and the Aarhus Center for Visual Art. Georgia has worked in a variety of galleries, pop-ups, museums, and theaters, and from 2008-2013, she was Press Writer & Curatorial Fellow of the artists’ residency and collective Flux Factory in New York. Her most recents projects include 'Koncertsal', a musical-architectural installation at Kulturdivisionen Slagteriet, a former slaughterhouse in Holstebro, Denmark, as well as 'Demons Land: A Poem Come True', a traveling multimedia exhibition with Oxford University on postcolonialism and epic poetry. She is also Associate Producer of InspiralLondon, a programme mapping a 300-mile pathway through London with commissions for site-specific performances, installations, and maps.
