Jade French

Jade French (b. 1988, UK) is a curator and researcher based in Liverpool, UK. She is Director of Development at The Royal Standard, an artist-led gallery and studio space, and a Visiting Research Fellow in the School of Fine Art, History of Art and Cultural Studies at the University of Leeds.

French’s work explores inclusive and accessible models of curating and their role in initiating broader conversations around democracy and diversity in the gallery. Jade’s forthcoming monograph Inclusive Curating in Contemporary Art: A Practical Guide is based on her PhD research on inclusive curatorship for which she facilitated learning disabled artists to curate the exhibition Auto Agents (2016/17) at Bluecoat, Liverpool.
