Jenine McGaughran
Jenine McGaughran is Programme Manager at Ikon Gallery, Birmingham. Here she works with in the planning and delivery of it international exhibitions programme. Between 2011 – 2014 she was Associate Curator at Grand Union, where she is still board member. Here she curated exhibitions and performances by Torsten Lauschmann, Lars Laumann and Kjersti Andvig, Bob Parks, Marcia Farquhar and Emma Hart. Other projects have included assisting on the 4th Ghangzhou Triennial (2012); curating The Last Tape, a new commission by Haroon Mirza (2010); project curator for Film as a Subversive Art, a LUX presentation at the Zoo Art Fair (2009) as well as Contested Ground a group project at the Zabludlowicz Collection (2008).
 
Jenine completed her MFA in Curating at Goldsmiths in 2009. 
 
Jenine’s research interests explore performative practices as well as looking for and at the effects of humour in the contemporary art setting.
