Sabine Schmid

Sabine Schmid, dr. phil., studied art history, literature and theatre studies in Munich and Paris as well as cultures of the curatorial in Leipzig. She works at Museum Villa Stuck, Munich, and holds a teaching assignment at the Academy of Fine Arts Leipzig. Her curatorial projects and her field of research include German-German photography after 1945 and contemporary photography. In addition, she explores the book as an artistic and curatorial space, both on a theoretical-analytical level and within her own praxis as editor. For summer 2019 she is curating an exhibition with art works dealing with the visual legacy of the GDR.
