Elaine O’Dea
2020
Elaine O’Dea is an emerging artist who predominantly works in Sculpture — with a strong interest in form, construction and material, she creates work with man-made materials used in the building of homes and their interiors such as plaster, wood, steel and plastic. Often with a feminist viewpoint, she builds minimalist (with a small m) structures and forms — the energy required being an integral part of the work.
Her work has been exhibited at Sculpture in Context 2018 and 2019 and is to be shown at the upcoming group exhibition Comfort Zone: Vulnerability In An Age Of Oversharing 2020
