Jone Alaitz Uriarte

2022

Jone Alaitz Uriarte (Arrasate, Basque Country, 1986) is a cultural producer, curator, and programmer. She graduated in Philosophy in the University of the Basque Country. She has a MA in Cultural Management and holds a MA in Contemporary Art History and Visual Culture. Her research is focused on the devices of representation used in the contemporary art: from exhibitions to publications and more recently to the podcast format as an extension of artistic practice. Since 2015 she has been working in the Exhibition Department of  Tabakalera in Donostia/San Sebastian.

DESCRIPTION OF MY TALK

As my talk coincides with my second day of residency, I would like to give a brief introduction showing projects I have been involved in and perhaps talk about the institution I come from, Tabakalera. I’d also like to talk about the podcast project I have, Basilika, and how there are new devices in which to deploy artistic practice. Maybe I’d also like to introduce the research project on young Basque artists.
