Jussi Koitela

FSAS International Curator Return Visit Award For the second iteration of this award we are delighted to be welcoming back Jussi Koitela into the mix.

Jussi Koitela (he/him) currently works as Head of Programme at Frame Contemporary Art Finland and as an independent curator. At Frame he works on the Rehearsing Hospitalities public programme. His independent curatorial work has entangled art, embodied research methodologies, feminist philosophy of science, and materiality in different exhibitionary forms and modes of knowledge production. His curatorial work includes for example: Performing the Fringe at Konsthall C and Pori Art Museum. Entangling Matter and Meaning and Intra-Sructures – Monster of the Seven Lakes at Treignac, Mattering City at SixtyEight Art Institute, City Agents at Estonian Museum of Contemporary Art (EKKM) and Untitled (two takes on crises) – You Must Make Your Death Public at de Appel arts centre. During 2015/2016 Koitela was a participant of De Appel Curatorial Programme.
