Event: City Layers – A Collage Exploration of Urban Identity with Dublin Learning City Festival on Monday, 7 April

Monday 7 April 2025, 3-5pm in Fire Station Artists’ Studios 

Fire Station Artists’ Studios invites visitors of all ages to a visual arts collage-making workshop centred around a city’s identity, history, and cultural essence. 

The workshop will invite participants to create multi-layered, textural collages that explore the hidden narratives, architectural beauty and personal connections within a city. Using mixed media, found materials and historical imagery, attendees will craft collages that capture the soul of a city – its past, present and imagined future. Participants are invited to consider Dublin City and/or a city that they are familiar with. 

This workshop is part of the Neighbourhood Project by Fire Station Artists’ Studios. It will be facilitated by Artist and Neighbourhood Project Coordinator, Rachael Kelly Ryder.
