Sirens’ Call: Join us for the FSAS Summer Party
3 July, 2025

As a powerful sound propagator, sirens’ function is to bring our attention to the unseen, to what, in fact, requires our immediate consideration. Reaching a nearly intolerable audio level, this apparatus forces our other senses to shut down, bringing us to the here and now.
In myths and legends, sirens are known as monstrous creatures that lure sailors away from their trajectory. They use the enchanting sound of their voice to hypnotise those at sea.
In all those instances, sirens urge us to start listening. Is it time to pay attention to the sirens and open our ears? What if walls could talk, what would they say?
We’re opening our doors on 16 July for our Summer Party! Come for food and drinks from 5pm at 9-12 Buckingham Street Lower.
We will launch the opening of FSAS Presents: The Home That Held Us, curated by Clara McSweeney, which will include work by FSAS Resident Artists: Alice Rekab, Day Magee, Emily Waszak, Evelyn Broderick, Kian Benson Bailes, Mieke Vanmechelen, Paul Hallahan, Samir Mahmood and Sorcha McNamara.
